reading data off pcmcia card on a win95 pc

All the recent traffic on using the pcmcia slot in laptops to transfer data
inspired me to try it on mine. I am running the win95 beta on it and it does
see the card when I plug it in. However, it also asks me if I want to format
the card now....needless to say I hurriedly tell it no and back out of it.

Does anyone know if I can back the data off to hard drive using zcom, then
format that sram card with win95, place the data back onto the sram card, and
then be able to read that data in the Zoomer?

Or better yet, is there something I am doing wrong that is not allowing win95
to read the data off the sram card?
