I've got the same questions you do. But after spending several days on it, I've
got to get to other things. I'll probably get back to it sometime. One thing on
double clicking, I found that adding MOTIF.GEO (the new updated version from the
Shareware GeoPublish software) made the system much more responsive to double
clicks -- however, you still need to triple click on the desktop -- annoying. I
just stopped minimizing the apps -- I found no loss in performance (though
that's just a subjective view, didn't really test settings or anything).
