There were 4 basic reasons that everybody used their zoomer for. Pretty
straightforward.
1. Notebook functions - This was at the top of a lot of lists. Notebook
functions vary from taking notes to grocery lists to writing down ideas.
Pretty common functions.
2. GAMES! - Yes, all you zoomer freaks out there. Games came in a very
respectable second place in zoomer use. Hearts, solitaire, pyramid,
minesweeper. These are all commonly played games on the zoomer.
3. Calendar, Address, Phone Numbers, To do Lists. 3rd place - nuff' said.
4. Checking email. Yes folks, getting online through AOL was the fourth
place zoomer function.
After these 4 basic functions come others. Some people used the zoomer
for financial reasons, transferring files from PC to zoomer, or zoomer to
zoomer. Stuff like that.
One of the most technical reasons for using the zoomer was running and
AX25 packet radio on 2 meters. I have absolutely no idea what that means.
By far, the coolest reason for using a zoomer was "amaze your friends
with your technological superiority."
