Everything was fine, but the previous owner refused to return my
messages, and since I didn't know the password to change it, I
figured I best wipe the memory and start from scratch, and
re-enter the small amount of data I had added.
First I tried the hard reset, and found that the zoomer retained
everything even though the manual warns you that it won't.
Then I removed *all* the batteries and succeeded in clearing the
memory.
The only problem is that now I can't re-calibrate the device.
It's able to boot, and then goes into the first time sequence of
asking me to adjust the contrast, and then "Touch the 1st
calibration point until it stops flashing".
It seems that point will never come.
I have tried everything I can think of. Has anyone run into
this problem and found a workaround?
