The volume of Mr. Bottomley's verbage far exceeded it's relevancy, interest
or accuracy.

If you did any reading or research, you'd know that neither Tandy, nor Casio
nor Palm are in bed with each other. Tandy is out of the picture; sold it's
committment of Zoomers and folded their tent. Casio can choose to release
their specs to whomever they please, and Palm is just a 3rd party vendor. I
don't think any of the players have made a profit commensurate with their R&D
yet, but that's OK, too. They'll eventually hit upon a combination that
appeals and meets a need and it'll be all worth it....or they won't, and
they'll write it off. They're risking THEIR money, not Mr. Bottomley's.
That's perhaps why they don't ask his approval to spend their money, nor
give him something for free.

If you don't like that particular system....in a word...don't buy it. We're
in this game to learn, have a good time and relish the toys that can become
real tools. If you wish to imagine a capitalist conspiracy under every rock,
then maybe you need to chose a field devoid of capitalism...when you find it.
