Wrong! Book Reader 2.0 adds some exciting new features (why are Geoworks
people so bad at marketing?). The new features consist of new types of
hyperlinks. Instead of just being able to create a link to a particular
named page, you can now add links to "the last page accessed", the first
page, the previous page, the next page. You can also create links with
sound. They have six different sounds. These are the sounds that you are
used to: the input error sound, the warning sound, the click, the alarm
sound, etc.
Here's the really neat part: you can create links that launch other
applications. That's right, you can click on a link and it'll launch
Notebook or File Manager, or whatever you want. This feature opens up a
whole world of possibilities for Book Reader applications. The limitation is
that all you can do it launch the application, you can't pass it any data
(but it's a good start).
Book Reader 2.0 has sparked new interest in Bindery for me. I also expect to
see books start poping up with these new features real soon now.
