By far, the most usual cause for this behavior is that one's hand
comes in contact with the pressure sensitive screen while writing with
the pen. If you're *sure* that your hand hasn't made contact with the
screen (and especially if the 'squiggle' tends to head towards the same
coordinates), there may be an intermittent problem with the sensing
material on your screen.
