Zoomer & DOS

Let me get this straight:

* Although GEOS runs on top of DOS or some DOS-like OS, if I bought a Zoomer I still couldn't run DOS programs on the Zoomer because it doesn't have a keyboard.

* If I really wanted to program a Zoomer, I could download IZL from AOL.

* Even if I buy PalmConnect or Intellilink for Windows, if I don't have both I still won't be able to upload all the Zoomer's files to my PC.

* That mini-serial port on the Zoomer is indeed proprietary, so even if I bought the special (and normal looking on the non-Zoomer end) cable, I still couldn't connect an external modem to it.

Do I have this right? I'm interested in buying a PDA, and really like the Zoomer, but I need to clarify some things before I make my decision. My local Radio Shack salespeople know little about computers and quite frankly are only interested in selling me SOMETHING, no matter what it is.

Also, could someone answer these questions:

How much internal storage does the Zoomer come with (I know it has 1 MB of RAM; how much disk storage)?

Do people find the organizer programs easy/hard/a joy to use?

Is the handwriting recognition good/bad/depends?

Just exactly how hard is it to transfer text files back and forth from your PC?

Thanks in advance for anyone answering my questions! Feel free to e-mail me directly.
