I recently registered TextReader 1.10 and sent a message to the author, Kerry Podolsky, on Compuserve. His Email back to me follows:

Thanks for registering TextReader. When I receive your check I will send
you the reg code. Also, within the next week, I will be releasing version
2.0 and I will send you the upgrade FREE. Just tell me what size disk you
would like it on.
Now to answer some/all of your questions.
Available memory? - Yes the Z's disk space is the limit. If you have a
PCMCIA memory card (I have a 10Mb) you could fill that up with a file and
read it. There will be a 2.x update version which will include
decompression capability for reading files compressed with my Compress It!
utility. That will double the size of text files you can have on the Z.
Next major release? - That would be 2.0. Bookmarks, keyword searching,
copying text to the Clipboard, Goto capability, online HELP and more.
Zoomer market? - There are alot of people HUNGRY for Z apps. The original
posting of TextReader here on CIS netted 90+ downloads. The 1.10 release
netted another 70. ZComm Lite was downloaded 115 times. I understand from
one of the AOL sysops that both apps have been downloaded from there in the
200+ category. As far as paying registrations, that has been slim. But,
future versions of all programs will only be available DIRECT (or hopefully
thru RS).
Is it worth it? - Monetarily, (shrug) No. But, there is a need for the
apps (mine) and I haven't really marketed, any of these apps, vigorously.
As a matter of fact, ZCL is Freeware.
ZCP? - I plan on doing it. How I market it, right now I'm not so sure. I
might do mail order and RS distributions.
Yes, I own a Z, I bought it in October (93) and "I LIKE IT".

RS=Radio Shack?
ZCL=ZoomComm Lite
ZCP=ZoomComm Pro

Don't miss out by not registering Shareware! There are a lot of programmers out there that will create the applications we want if we make it worth it monetarily.
