AOL Lite I have heard is disappointing. And it doesn't look like it's going to get any better since it's at the bottum of the development stack.
I've asked if anyone has tried the CIS software for Zoomer here but haven't seen any replies yet.
Would someone please test it out for us?? It's free so you won't lose any money testing it:-) Just call them and tell them you're an AOL member and you get the signon kit for free! ::Besides someone that works for AOL:-)::
The nice things about CIS is that it's worldwide, no charge just to signon and see if you have any mail, a larger free area with things like the News and many, many more and bigger forums then here.
On either of these services I wouldn't trash your PC just yet. Use the Zoomer to check for your mail free, read or send mail, read the news free and stock highlights. Then on your PC use the offline reader to zip through the boards logging them and down/up load files. Most likely you have a faster modem on your PC and it has much more harddrive space for files so use it for the heavy stuff.

P.S. CIS does charge for mail but that's why you do get a monthly $9.00 credit for this, works out to about 30 mails a month before you start getting charged. ::winking to someone:-)::
