True the CIS lite is part of the basic package, BUT AOL gives you 5 hours of online time included with the basic monthly charge and I believe there is still a little more that one can access than on CIS with AOL. Don't forget by being an AOL member you can access Internet NOW and not later. Also CIS charges for all Internet Mail received and sent at .15 for each 2500 characters, on AOL there is NO extra charge for internet mail. Petty nice if you ask me! So don't sell AOL short it is a darn good service as CIS is and to be honest the big drawback to CIS is one will tire of the few basic services VERY quickly and then the bigtime charges hit, mine runs about $80 a month. The charges at 9600 baud are .16 minute for forum access (everything other than basic, even company support). On AOL it is all included even at the fast 9600 baud and at only .05 minute after your first 5 included hours.
