I DID get it to work a few times, by the way. But I haven't figured out the
step-by-step surefire process to make it happen.
Basically, I connect the two machines, then issue ATH1 to each to force them
"off-hook", then issue ATD on one and ATA on the other. The speakers are
"live" so I can hear if they're trying to chatter.
The tricky part is that sometimes I have to reenter the commands on one side
at a time until they work it out with each other. Almost seems like one or
the other goes back on-hook somewhere along the line.
Worked quite nicely a few times though... I was able to XMODEM some file
data across quite nicely! I'll just purchase the data cable to hook up the
Zaurus to my computer the proper way, but this is a good thing to know in a
fallback situation.
