I am currently running a getty on the serial line, so I can login from
my Zoomer using ZCOMLITE to kill any offending process if I ever get a
complete keyboard lockup. (Can some UNIX guru can tell me how to make
getty yield gracefully while file transferring is under the way?)
Oddly, since I get getty running, I have never had a keyboard lockup.
It happened quite often when I played with DOSEMU. Maybe it is the
reverse of the Murphy's Law.
My next project is to figure out the address book format and then
convert my Emacs BBDB to it. The first step is to understand VM
files. I've "ported" GEODUMP by Marcus Groeber
<marcusg@ph-cip.uni-koeln.de> to UNIX. I more or less know VM files
now. Still not sure how much it will take me to figure out the
address book itself. (PalmConnect won't do me much good unless a
generic unix port becomes available.)
