Graffiti shortcuts on Zoomer?

I read in a recent post that the GEOS (Zoomer) version of Graffiti does
NOT support the "short-cut" functions. This is where you use a special
short-cut gesture combined with one or more letters to bring up a longer
string. Is this true?
