Gary,

I have the null modem cable as well (for doing file transfers), and to
use with a modem, I went to radio shack and bought a 9-to-9 null modem
adaptor to cancel out the 'null'. Works just fine, and you don't need to
lug around 2 cables :-) (ps- i also bought a 9-to-25 for using my Zoomer
with a serial printer).
