I'm curious if anyone else has this trouble, and what (if anything) can
be done about it.
Tonight I got brave and tried something. I cut a piece of self-adhesive
felt to about 1/8" by 1/4", and stuck in the outer, lower (away from
screen) part of the pen hole. The pen is now snug, and I scored the end
of it with a razor knife to make it easier to grip. I'm hoping this will
save me having to buy new pens wholesale.
FWIW, the problem seems to be that the pen guide inside the unit bears
against one half of the case to produce drag on the pen. The
spring-loaded pen holder just pushes it out, but doesn't hold it in much
if the case moves. By putting felt on the outer/lower part of the pen
channel, drag seems to be more constant, and since it's in the solid
molded pen channel, is independent of case movements.
I'd be interested to learn of any other experiences with this, or
solutions for it, before I stick a piece of felt in my other Zoomer.
