I have not used the Zoomer for packet radio, but I HAVE used Geoworks
Ensemble's GeoComm program on the desktop. Actually, it's pretty nice.
I keep two notepads open - one with a node listing and the other for
jotting notes, and I keep solitaire open while GeoComm is receiving data
from the TNC. GeoComm has a capture buffer that I turn on to record
messages and sessions. It is pretty slick. I don't know if GeoComm can
run on the Zoomer. There will probably be difficulty with screen size.
GeoComm is Ensemble's weakest program. But for packet radio, it is
quite adequate.

ps. You do have Ensemble don't you? ;)
If not, check out GeoPublish (see my .sig) the shareware version of
Ensemble. It dowsn't have GeoComm, but it will give you a feel for
Ensemble's power.
