I am looking for feedback regarding PCMCIA storage on the Zoomer.
I understand that the 1mb SRAM cards from the Newton will work and are
available for less than $50 (US). If anyone could confirm this (the price
or the fact that they do work) I will order a card and begin experimenting.
If you use PCMCIA storage on your Zoomer, please email me with
the type of card you use, the amount of storage, the price you paid and
where you got it and any comments you may have regarding the setting up and
day to day usage of the card. (ie. Do you use disk compression? What type
of a battery hit to you suffer? Have you tried interchanging the card
with a PCMCIA slot on another computer? etc.)
Please reply DIRECTLY to me and not the mailing list. I will
compile the information and post it to the list as soon as possible. The
information can then be added to the FAQ.
Thanks in advance.
