"I would like to know of _any_ way of playing *.wav files other than the ones
already on the PDA. Obviously, you can't just rename palm.wav, so does
anyone know of any other way of spoofing it to play other files or is
there/can there be an executeable (preferably for GEOS) that could play such
files???"
True, you can't rename PALM.WAV. However, you'll notice that PALM.WAV
doesn't actually exist on B:, it is stuffed away on SYS: with GEOS reflecting
the file onto B:.
Rename your target WAV to PALM.WAV and transfer it into the appropriate
directory on B:. GEOS will no longer reflect PALM.WAV on to B:, but will use
the PALM.WAV that actually exists on B:.
I had to work with the WAVs a little bit to get the sampling rate and
head-time/trail-time just right.
