William, thanks for the pointers to all of the extra characters!
I am impressed with your detective work :-). Now I will add
my own 2 cents worth. My main interest is in speed writing. With
that in mind, I discovered the the down strokes for B,D,P,R are
optional. Also, G can be drawn as a 6 (without the cross) and 5 does
not need the top bar. These observations make writing fast!

I actually disagree with this statement. I remember looking at the Zoomer
and the Newton and puzzling hard over which one to buy. The existence of
Graffiti would have made my mind up immediately. With a Graffiti keyboard
option, the Zoomer could have pushed Newtons out of the market. It had
10 times the battery life and could have had much faster text entry.
Where Apple hyped, Tandy/Casio would have delivered. I can swallow
learning a new alphabet if using it makes my writing faster (than paper).
As it stands now, I am unsure that Graffiti will rekindle the PDA market
after the disappointments following Apple's hype. Only time will tell...
