A serial-to-parallel adapter. I've never heard of one of those. Is that
something simple, like what you can get at Radio Shack?

I use a Canon BJ10ex bubblejet. Works great.

It's not serial, so I use a serial-to-parallel adaptor. The
adaptor is one of those products which doesn't seem to have a
manufacturer name but it does have a model number "SXP-1000".
