Problem with "Connect" feature

I have been using my Desktop version of Ensemble v2.01 to connect to my
Zoomer. I have it installed on two machines, a laptop and a Pentium
(oops, copyright alert) Anyway, for several days I was able to connect
and transfer files with no hassle. For some reason, I cannot get it to
connect. On the Zoomer side, I get the "Attempting to connect" dialog
box for a few seconds and then it goes away and is replaced by a Disk
Drive selector box which plainly shows my desktop disk drive. On the
desktop side, I get the same "Attempting to connect" dialog box, but it
hangs. It never goes away and completes the connection. The funny thing
is that the Zoomer thinks it is connected, and if I select the desktop
drive from the drive selector box, the drive light whirrs on the desktop
machine like it is trying to load the directory. I even get a partial
directory, then it "drops out and disappears. It then tries to
re-connect. All the while, the desktop dialog box is still there and
won't go away. I can click on cancel to terminate the connection
attempt, but as far as the desktop is concerned, it never connects.
Further, this behavior is consistant on both the laptop and the Pentium.
Yes, I checked the cables and the preferences settings on all three
machines. Further, I can use ZDOS with absolutly no ill effects. I am
not sure if the problem is on the desktop side or the Zoomer side. Oh
yes, I almost forgot. I reset my Zoomer back to "off-the-shelf" state
and I still have the same problem. I guess I could re-install GEOS, but
that's a REAL hassle!
Any suggestions or hints would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
-Jim
