AST Gridpad 2390 and Modems

I am a new user of the Zoomer and I have a 486 PC with an internal
modem on COM4.

I am very curious to try the communications through the Zoomer without
buying a PCMCIA or an external modem. Is it anyways possible for me to
use the internal modem on my PC to dial out through the zoomer assuming
I have the relevant commn software running on the zoomer.
