I can vouch for that.
One time, just after I had hit the power switch, I had just realized that
I wanted to edit a transaction in Quicken. So I brought Quicken back to
the front, and edited my transaction, making sure I was either "pressing"
a gadget or writting something, and my Zoomer didn't shut off until a
couple seconds after I had finished all my work.
