The Zoomer serial port is a DTE port. The modem undoubtedly has a DCE port.
Thus you need a straight thru cable. The Palm cable is meant to connect the
Zoomer's DTE port to a PC's DTE port and therefore is a null modem cable.
You can either buy the straight-thru cable from Radio Shack or buy a null
modem adapter that you can plug onto the end of your null modem cable to
null out the null. :-)
