Too restore the speed to Graffiti, place the following line in your GEOS.INI
file...

[SYSTEM]
inkTimeout = 0

I placed it just beyond the the path statement and it was fine. Or you can
install Graffiti after you perform the upgrade, and it will add this line
itself.
