RE:ZOOMER HAS DIED

Help ! my zoomer died while trying out palm connect for the first time. The screen is a constant scroll of error messages:

Sundisk Drives = C: through C:
Bad or missing shell(command.com)
insert new disk & press any key

lines 2 & 3 repeat unendingly, I have tried both soft and hard resets.

Any advice would be appreciated.
