If I may be so bold, I think the point JohnH201 was making was that WP or MS
might try to develop PDA versions of their flagship products and probably
will try to force-fit the way things are done on the desktop into a palmtop
version. They also may try to develop a product that complements their
desktop versions, which would be better, but experience has taught me that
once a company does something one way, they have a very hard time changing.

The problem with these established companies is that they view life through
desktop-colored glasses, i.e., BIG. The next shift in computing will be
towards small, fast, flexible, and adaptable. IMHO. Then Zagreus could
simply tell his PDA to recognize these special characters that he needs and
not have to wait for someone else to do it for him. I know this will be
doable someday just like I don't have to buy a special type of car to go to
the store, another to go visit relatives, or another to go on vacation; I
just drive it where I want.
