Casio, along with partners Tandy, Geoworks, Palm Computing, America On-Line,
and Intuit, announced it's intention to develop a pen-based, hand-held
Personal Information Processor.

The first protoype of this project, code-named "Zoomer", was demonstrated to
the press and was enthusiastically received.

The sleek hand-held device will ship from the factory this summer, recognize
hand printing, and run for up to 100 hours on a single set of alkaline
batteries. The price was announced as "closer to $600 than to $1000."

With long battery life and a suite of built-in applications and content, this
product should emerge as a strong contender in the upcoming battle of the
pen-based palmtop wars.

While the above sounds like a press release, you may leave questions and
messages here and I will share whatever information I can on this upcoming
product.Subj: Zoomer
