Following the speedup of my Zoomer and the subsequent failure of my
PCMCIA Flash RAM (Sundisk) card... which I do believe to be
coincidence; I purchased a 10 MB ATA Flash Card for $149.00 at Disk
Drive Depot in Sunnyvale. Quite a deal!
The card formats on my PC, and my HP200LX- so I loaded it up with the
most recent backup of my old flash card- STACVOL.DSK, PENRIGHT.BAT and
STACKER.EXE and fired up my trusty (and speedy Zoomer).
The card reads just fine. I can see everything on the card- both
stacked and raw- without stacker. However- I can not write anything.
The Zoomer displays a message asking me to throw the write protect
switch and there is no write protect switch.
Anyone with experience with these cards. The info on the back is...
(c)1992 SUNDISK
Patents 5095344, 5070032
TPF-10MB REV 5
L1481101313
In the meantime- a ran some code I wrote and ported my address/date
book to the HP200LX. However- I miss my Zoomer and consider it far
more useable than the 200LX. Any advice?
