I think if you turn on the windowing features, such as allowing your to
resize and move the windows then you can have more apps. Also, make the
"levels" maximum, such as the interface level and launch level. Interface
level is the key option that you should set to "Expert" right away. Setting
it lower disables other options you've selected.
