There is a UNIX version of a ZDos-like utility called 'xtoz'. It
comes with source code, and is compilable for a bunch of different
UNIX systems (but no FreeBSD yet, alas) and could possibly serve as a
jumping-off point for an Amiga port.

I have it working on my Sun, it works fine...

Look in the archives; I think it was in the UWash zoomer archive.
