I have been experimenting with using Graffiti without the window, and
found that the "dot" attention signal to get punctuation is also
accomplished with a left - to - right horizontal stroke.
After doing this, a period is made by drawing a tiny circle. This is
about as small as the pen resolution will manage, and it takes some practice.
You might consider taking some other steps to restore the Graffiti window.
