It was just too easy. First of all, make sure your Zoomer is running
Enhanced Zoomer Plus- if you don't know what that is go back to school!
Not that I would ever copy the Text File Editor from my GEOS 2.0
desktop installation to my Zoomer... even when it offers spell
check... it is a good way to make sure it's working...
File link your Zoomer to GEOS 2.0 desktop...
Just copy the GEOS 2.0 files (ignore the dates) from your
\GEOWORKS\USERDATA\DICTS desktop subdirectory
6-01-94 3:30p 302848 0 COM_THES.DIS
6-01-94 3:30p 410 0 ENGLISH.GDI
6-01-94 3:30p 107520 0 HECDP301.DAT
6-01-94 3:30p 218112 0 IENC9123.DAT
to your C:\GEOWORKS\USERDATA\DICTS subdirectory on your Zoomer. That's
all you have to do. Why can't you use the files that exist in
SYS:\GEOWORKS\USERDATA\DICTS? Because- they are for the reference
dictionary application. Different deal altogether.
Granted- the files are big...

But I run a 40 MB PCMCIA FLASH RAM and Stacker on my Zoomer for a
whopping 80 MB of handheld storage so this is a flash in the pan, if
you'll pardon the pun. Spell Checking on the Zoomer isn't very fast
but if you're in some dull-ass meeting it's amazing what you can do
accomplish.
Happy Zooming
