Running Zoomer apps under Ensemble

Well, I tried to do this, in conjunction with my corrupted addressbook
file. I copied all the \SYSTEM\*.* into c:\geos20\system, skipping any
files that are already there. Now I can run addressbook, datebook and
notebook on my PC under Ensemble 2.01. Pretty nice! I wonder if this
would also work under GeoPublish (the shareware version of Ensemble).

I cannot get page send/receive to work, however. When I moved the /PREF
file on connecting onto the desktop, the Ensemble PREFERENCES app
displays the appropriate button, etc, but I cannot configure it to
recognize the serial cable connection. It may be that I would need to
transfer some of the files in the system subdirectories. I'd rather not
do this, so I guess I'll have to live with the address book database
being hosed, and take it as a "life lesson". Oh well.

Still, it will be easier to update addressbook on the PC, with keyboard,
than using Graffiti. I wonder if there is a way to print to a text file,
open text editor in desktop system, and then cut and paste into a new
addressbook? Hmm, well, there is no support for CTRL-INS/SHIFT-INS so I
guess not. :(

That's it. I hope others benefit from my experiment in running a Zoomer
mirror on my desktop system.
