GPS PCMCIA cards can be had for a few hundred dollars from Trimble
and others. Serial-based GPS units can be had for even less--one is
bundled with a mapping program for about $125. Clearly, the big
limitation in both cases is software support for the GPS, although
with a serial unit you might be able to log the NMEA data using a
terminal program.
Since you can get a full-featured hand-held GPS for $150-$250,
I'm not sure how much sense it would make to persue attaching
a GPS to a Zoomer, although having a large, pen-based screen
would be a nice thing to have...
