The Zoomer does have two levels of IR sending capablility, but
as I understand it, no one has created the drivers for accessing the
high power level. In fact, I talked to the IZL company, and they
use the standard drivers, so the IR port looks just like a serial
port without the access to the higher power level, or any possiblity
of changing the communication protocol ( I was asking about
writing a IrDA interface, but IZL is not capable of creating a
driver at that low a level).
If you find out any information to the contrary, I'd like
to know.
