They *do* have IR amplifiers now, ya know... Steve Wozniak designed one called
"Tyron" that actually worked pretty well... And my parents even have a remote
IR converter that transmits via radio-- there's a mini transmitter attached to
the front of the remote, and a receiver velcroed (velcorroded?) to the front of
the VCR. This is so they can control the VCR in the living room of their motor-
home (Ark II) from the bedroom (the VCR can be patched into the bedroom TV).
Sorry, I don't know where they got it, and they are in Mazatlan right now (heck,
they *drove* there in Ark II)
Ennyway, why not employ some of these ideas? A little strip of Velcro on the top
of the Zoomer would allow attachment of the booster when it is needed...
