zoomer/cell modem?

I could really make use of my zoomer as a mobile terminal, for dialup access as
a terminal through a modem/cell phone.
I seem to remember that only a particular 24/96 starcard modem is supported and
I doubt if it has cell capability. It'd be hard to find an external pocket
modem with cell ability, whereas cell pcmcia 14.4's are readily available in
the $30 range.
Anyway, anyone have any comments/experiences?
Anyone tried running any of the old dos pcmcia card service s/w under geos?
this shouldn't have to be a fantasy.
