About state files...

<<Doing these soft reboots for the sake of opening up a small amount of RAM (relative I know) is kinda self defeating when you want your apps to come up where you left off. But, if you don't mind starting from ground zero, why now back up the key state files you would like to keep (yes you will need a copy of the Z's File Manager for file saves/moves/copies) and then copy the needed state file(s) back once the clean up is accomplished. >>
Only when I have enough Graffitti macros that recreating them becomes a problem... :) However, it isn't a "relatively small amount of memory" unless you compare to how much storage I have free on my 1GB hard drive on my PC. If you run each of the programs on the OG, 130KB or so is wasted to state files. That's WAY too much IMHO, as it is more than 30% of available storage!

Personally, I use Appt Book, Book Reader (will use I should say... :>), Calc, Database, Note Pad, Phone Book, Setup, Solitaire, Stop Watch, Transfer (will use... :>), Jotter, and World Time.

That means I *don't* use Demo, Finance, and Spreadsheet.

I have around 100KB of state files! Personally the ONLY state files I want to keep are for Appt Book, Solitaire, and Graffitti. I'd like to be able to disable state files for the other apps...

<< But, realize that state files will just rebuild once you access your favorite apps, all over again, every time... a 2MB SRAM card is under $80.. I'd jump on one, and leave it in the OG all the time..>>
Perhaps you have $80 for me to buy one? :) I can't even afford a serial cable right now!
