To throw in my two cents, I find battery life excellent. I've had the thing for a week, use it all the time and am still on the first set of batteries.
The screen is a weak link for some, myself included, but my son uses the OG even in low light conditions and can see everything just fine.
I've yet to discover something I don't like about this product. Well, perhaps I should wish for an active matrix color screen twice the size and half the thickness ;-)
