I have had two and seen a third OG100. Two or them had the refraction problem and the latest one I have does not. The problem seems to be as you suggested, resultant from the top layer of the screen coming into contact with the next layer below that. It may be related to the tension and even sensitive to atmospheric pressure seeing as how when I took one of them on a plane the problem went away. The latest one I have is a replacement for a unit that failed and doesn't seem to have the problem. I don't know if it's something that's been fixed or something that contiues to be random.
