Hmm, well, I getting a PCMCIA drive for your PC is pretty hard to beat.
But, I just got LapLink (v5), and compared to everything else, it's a
little slice of heaven. I have to get out of GEOS to run it, but it's more
than worth it.

In my continual quest to make my OmniGo more useful:

Good News:
* Importing and exporting files with GeoWrite and GeoFile work great on the
OmniGo.
* I finally broke down and got LapLink to work. To be honest, I didn't have
to do anything to get it working. It is DOS based, but runs well on Win95
in a window. Now I can synch whatever files I want at the touch of a
button. It doesn't merge files, though.
* Just for fun, I redid my GEOS.INI file, with pretty much the only changes
after merging GEOS.INI and NET.INI to the fileManager section and setting
the handles to 2800. I still run everything from the E: drive. To my
surprise, everything works now, including GeoCalc. I assume it likes
whatever default vlaues it has better.

Bad News:
* I have found that for some reason, launching batch files doesn't work. My
solution: a program that converts BAT files to COM.
* Launching LapLink right from GEOS doesn't work for some reason. It comes
up OK, but it won't connect. The screen doesn't even blank like it usually
does. So, I just have to reboot and it works fine. It would be very nice if
I could find out how to fix this.
* Trying to improve performance, I tried running from the B drive. I gave
up after a few hours of tinkering with it. I simply couldn't get it to run
desktop apps when starting on the B drive.
