Backing up over PCMCIA modem

Does anyone know a way to backup up the OG over a PCMCIA modem. The idea
we're playing with is having someone dial into a server remotely and
backup all their data over the modem so that even when people are out of
town we can have access to their schedules and phonebook. Thanks for any
suggestions! Also, is there any commercial software that allows you to do
this?
