Thanks to all the suggestions. Here's what happened:

Of course I had to then (with the list's help again) figure out how to
modify GEOS.INI. After some previously documented in this forum efforts,
I tried modifying my autoexec.bat. I had a cool script written up that
would check to see if geosnew.ini existed, and if so, move geos.ini to
geosold.ini, and geosnew.ini into geos.ini. Otherwise, if geosold.ini
existed, it would move geos.ini to geosbad.ini and geosold.ini to geos.ini
(so that if I rebooted twice without touching any files, my original file
would be back in geos.ini and the new file would be in geosbad.ini).
Unfortunatelly, it wouldn't run (it'd just hang in the OmniGo startup
screen (fortunatelly, I remembered what was going on, and blind-typed
"geos", and got back!)).

So I punted that, and got OgText. That worked fine, except that it seemed
to miss the REN command (come to think of it, my autoexec.bat was laced
with "ren" commands -- that's probably why it died).

Anyway, now my app6 = Pocket Quicken, so I can get into Quicken really
easily. Now to decide what app to replace Jotter with...

Thanks again to all who have helped. This is a wonderful resource... I
ask a simple (to most of you) question, and get 10 answers, all correct!).

With Love in Christ,
Michael, a sinner
