OmniGo 100

Hi all,

This is my first posting so I ask stupid questions, please direct me to a
place where I can find the answer.

I just bought the OmniGo 100 (with the option of returning it if not
suitable!), and I am trying to find out what the unit can do. From what I
gather so far (I have visited some the the web sites), Geo is running on top
of DOS, so I should be able to goto DOS and do normal DOS stuff and perhaps
run DOS programs, right? What do I need to do?

What is the "normal" configuration for the unit? Is 1Meg of RAM enough?

How can I load software into the unit? Given everything is in ROM, how will
GEO OS recognise additional softwares?

What is the best way to connect the unit to a PC? I can purchase the
Connectivity Pack for AUD$200 approx. or just buy the cable AUD$40, but I
guess I will need freeware/shareware to do the transfer. Which is a better way?

Can someone also tell me how I can download past postings? I can access via
the WEB but my connection is extrememly fragile, so I can't stay for very long.

Thanks a million.

BTW, I am very happy about the unit, I just want to make sure it is not as
propriatery as some other PDA.

Regards,
Julian
