Unix server communications

I am a newbie to the OGO and with the help of all the wise people on this
list I have been able to see the great many possibilities this little
dynamo has to offer. I have a OGO100 and have succesfully connect to my
Unix account at my University but When it came to reading my mail( since my
school uses Pine) it was very awkward to read, with lots of grabage between
context. I am guessing this is due to the lack of a vt-100 emulator for the
OGO. I heard of someone working on one but I have not heard of anything
lately, I beleive it was an Italian fellow who was making real strides with
an IZL comm program. Any help would be nice and very appreciated.
