Pocket modems are basically just small external modems. Typically about
the size of a pack
of cigarettes. Some use AC adapters and some are battery powered.
Personally I don't see a big advantage
over a small external and they are usually at premium price by comparisons.
Overall I guess I don't see the benefit of using the 100 series with a
bunch of externals. With the cost of extra
memory , modems etc. the price and size is getting on par with a low-end
notebook or a OGO700 at a fraction
of the functionality.
