Subject: using DLITE compression program w/ Dpressed files !
Hi, everyone
I am using DLITE run-time decompression program to economize the use of memory
on
my omnigo.
For example, I compressed the Pocket Quicken executable using DEPRESS utility
that works
on my DOS PC (97 KB file was compressed to about 64KB) and then transferred it
to WORLD
directory on my omnigo. I also put "dlite /I /F+" in my AUTOEXEC.BAT file on
omnigo.
So far, it works fine.
But, when I do the same for the help file pq______.000 and transfer it to HELP
directory
or any other BOOKS and transfer them to DOCUMENT directory, they can't be
read. Book
Reader shows the book but can't open it. Similarly, trying to access Pocket
Quicken help
gives out an error message saying "erroneous file" or something similar.
Has anyone encountered this problem ? and any work arounds ?
This becomes important because lotsa help files are quite BIG (esp. hyper-text
files
for games etc.) and apps/games are useless w/o them.
Thank you very much,
Hitesh
