Yes, the OmniGo is capable of Graffiti shortcuts- It is too bad HP decided
not to outline the feature in the OG users manual.

GRAFFITI SHORTCUTS (From the GeoInfo Database: Article#0965, Updated
05/29/96)

WHAT ARE GRAFFITI SHORTCUTS?
Graffiti provides a macro-like feature called ShortCuts which are available
on the OmniGo 100 but are not mentioned anywhere in the Users Reference.

Graffiti's ShortCuts make it quick and convenient to enter commonly used
words or phrases. This is similar to the Glossary or Autotext features of
some word processors.

Up to 250 characters may be assigned to a ShortCut. For example, you might
create a ShortCut with your complete name and address.

TO ASSIGN A SHORTCUT:
Draw the ShortCut stroke. (It looks like the Graffiti symbol for x rotated
counterclockwise 90 degrees, or like a cursive lower case L.)
Draw the stroke for the left curly bracket.
Draw the characters you want to use to activate the ShortCut. You may use up
to eight characters, upper or lower case, and ShortCuts are case sensitive.
Draw the stroke for a colon.
Write the text that you want associated with the ShortCut. You may write up
to 250 characters, and may include any characters, numbers, or carriage
returns.
Draw the stroke for a right curly bracket.
This completes the ShortCut. After a moment, the ShortCut text will replace
the strokes you just entered. This indicates that your ShortCut was entered
successfully.

TO USE A SHORTCUT:
Draw the ShortCut stroke. (It looks like the Graffiti symbol for x rotated
counterclockwise 90 degrees, or like a cursive lower case L.)
Write the characters that activate the shortcut.
The assigned text appears on the screen, and you have saved yourself a lot of
time.

TO DISPLAY A LIST OF SHORCUTS:
Draw the ShortCut stroke. (It looks like the Graffiti symbol for x rotated
counterclockwise 90 degrees, or like a cursive lower case L.)
Draw the strokes for the left curly bracket, the colon, and the right curly
bracket.
A list of all your shortcuts will appear on the screen.

NOTE:
Rebooting the OmniGo may erase your shortcuts. (Unless you follow the
instructions below for saving them.)

SAVE GRAFFITI SHORTCUTS (From Steve Main of Geoworks)

All you need to do is create the following directory, either on the B: drive
or on your SRAM card:

\GEOWORKS\PRIVDATA\HWR

On the B: drive, PRIVDATA already exists, so you need only create a
subdirectory named HWR within it.
On the C: drive (PCMCIA card), you must create both PRIVDATA and HWR.

Be sure to create them with uppercase letters, if you use a GEOS file manager
to do the work.

Once the HWR directory exists, a file named GRAFFITI.MCR will automatically
be created the next time you create a new shortcut and all existing shortcuts
in memory will be added to the file.

If you create the directory HWR on the B: drive, you can warm boot without
losing your shortcuts.
If you ceaate the directory HWR on the PCMCIA card instead, then you can even
cold boot the unit without losing your shortcuts.
